In the 30 days to 13 October 2026, 258 employers posted 296 PLC, SCADA, DCS and controls jobs in India on LinkedIn. Siemens is asked for in 62% of the posts that name a platform, three years is the most common minimum experience, and Pune carries 24% of the jobs. We read every post in full; below are the platforms, experience, advertised pay, cities and roles they ask for.

What the month showed
- Siemens leads, and Mitsubishi is named more often than Schneider. Of the posts that name a platform, 62% ask for Siemens, 37% Rockwell, 21% Mitsubishi and 12% Schneider.
- Three years is the most-asked entry point. Only 29% of the posts that state a minimum open the door at two years or less.
- Pune is the busiest and the most urgent market — 24% of all posts, and 30% of Pune's posts are marked urgent.
- One post in four is urgent. MES and Ignition roles are the most urgent of all: 46%.
- Nearly half the posts are written by recruitment firms (47%), and 84 do not name the employer.

Read. Siemens (TIA Portal, S7-1200 / 1500, WinCC) is the default ask. Rockwell is a clear second. Mitsubishi and Delta show up mostly at machine builders and system integrators — among those employers Mitsubishi was named 16 times and Delta 11, against Schneider's 3. Read. Recruitment firms write nearly half of all PLC hiring posts and more than half of the urgent ones. For an engineer, that is why the same role can reach you through four or five different people. For an employer, it is why a hard seat gets noisy fast.

What it means for you
If you are hiring
- Expect competition at three years. That is where most posts aim; widen to two years with a mentor, or pay for the third.
- Name the platform. Only 156 of 296 posts did. A post without one draws CVs from every stack.
- A re-post costs weeks. If a seat is still open after two posts, change the route, not the wording.
If you are an engineer
- Siemens first, Rockwell second. Add Mitsubishi or Delta if you want machine builders and integrators.
- MES and Ignition are the scarce skills. The most urgent role family this month.
- Pune is the deepest market for PLC roles, then Bangalore and Chennai.
